Wow, what a nice invention! Agree, I was avoiding belly bend because they are not reliable holders. Pockets are much more reliable but also not always desirable, for example when you do not want to cover some nice design, for example. Alphabetic-band (T, E, F, X, Y, Z) solution overcomes those problems thoroughly. Also perfect timing for me as at the moment I am making a journal from beautiful but busy and dark digitals backed with brown paper. I’ll be writing on the back and for the decorative side I planned pockets with tags. I’ll add these innovative bands instead there. Thanks a millions!!

Clever idea!❤ You could do one like that but add several vertical ones. It would look like fence post , and add little flowers up the post.

What a delightfully clever idea!! I usually attatch my belly bands vertically for the simple reason that whatever I put in it does slide out the bottom and is such a bother. Can't wait to try your idea in my next journal. Thank you so much for sharing.

Total genius!!! I've always hated belly bands because everything always falls out!!! And sometimes the paperclip catches on them and can tare.

I think that if the vertical “T-band” was turned so the short side was next to the outer edge of the page, it would prevent things from falling out the side of the journal. Then, the inner, sewn, fold of the signature would prevent it from falling out on the inside. Sorry if this is confusing. The “T-band “ idea is great!

I still haven’t tried to use my sewing machine on my journals. I love the look of it when you stitch your lovely pieces for journaling. Just a little afraid to make a total mess of the sewing part. How should I practice sewing ? Should I practice on bits of fabric or on tags and pockets? Looking forward to seeing how you will use your snippets tomorrow. They turned out so pretty Gi. 💕🇺🇸

I love watching the making of snippet rolls etc.. very relaxing. We aren’t going anywhere, my husband got shingles several months ago and he is still suffering nerve pain and I am having issues with my legs and can’t travel right now. Summer at home.
